ISRO Successfully Performs 2nd Orbit-Raising Manoeuvre Of Chandrayaan-3

With the spacecraft now in a stable orbit of 41603 km X 226 km, ISRO is progressing steadily towards its goal of exploring the lunar surface.

In a significant achievement, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) announced on Monday that the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has successfully performed its second orbit-raising manoeuvre, commonly known as Earth-bound apogee firing. Following the successful manoeuvre, ISRO confirmed that the spacecraft is now positioned in a stable orbit of 41603 km X 226 km.

ISRO further disclosed that the next firing, the third in the series, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday between 2 pm and 3 pm, further propelling the spacecraft towards its intended destination. The Chandrayaan-3 mission, launched on July 14, is aimed at exploring the lunar surface, according to PTI.
