The individual, a B.Tech graduate employed at a prominent IT firm situated in the Infopark area, found himself facing serious charges under sections 354(C) (Voyeurism) and 419 (Impersonation) of the IPC, along with a violation of Section 66 E of the Information Technology Act – all within the span of a single day, according to law enforcement sources, as PTI reported.

In a remarkable courtroom twist, the accused was promptly presented before a local magistrate who decreed a 14-day judicial custody, as relayed by an authoritative figure from the Kalamassery police station.

The intricate incident took place within the confines of Lulu Mall, as the accused hatched an unconventional plan to surreptitiously capture video footage. Disguised beneath a burqa, he entered the women's restroom, positioning his mobile device within a compact cardboard receptacle ingeniously affixed to the restroom door.
