The doctors have allegedly manipulated the blood test report of the 17-year-old boy who killed two people in a drunken crash.
As per reports by India Today and NDTV, the head of forensics at Sassoon Hospital, the same hospital where the 17-year-old driver was taken for a medical review and a doctor from another hospital have been arrested by the police.
These arrests were made after it was found that the blood samples of the minor had been switched with another who had not consumed any alcohol.
These two arrests in the crash case come after the arrest of the teen's grandfather last Saturday. The grandfather has been charged with kidnapping and wrongful confinement of the driver hired to drive the Porsche.
The teen's father was also arrested and has been sent to jail till June 7. The father has been charged with cheating under Section 420 of the Indian Penal Code.
The Pune Porsche crash incident took place on May 19. The 17-year-old teenager, who was out to celebrate his Maharashtra HSC Results, ran over two IT professionals as he was driving under the influence on alcohol. The case has been surrounded by public outcry.
The juvenille had been initally granted bail in the case. However, after public outcry, he was remanded to an onbservation home till June 5.
The deceased have been identified as Anis Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa, both 24. The two were on their way home from a dinner with friends when the speeding Porsche hit them.
