Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Friday directed the officials to complete the iconic projects within five months and also bestow attention to necessary financial allocation and coordination between departments to complete the priority works.?

Referring to the Kalaignar Centenary super specialty hospital at Guindy, which he inaugurated on Thursday as an example of how projects could be fast-tracked through continuous monitoring, the Chief Minister said another major project viz. the Kalaignar memorial library, Madurai, is awaiting inauguration soon.?

"Many such good initiatives have been announced by our government and as a result of it, I have discussed the implementation with you through review meetings. Today our state has achieved excellent development at the national level. As I had said on several occasions our goal is not only to be ranked first at national level but also international level," the CM said while chairing a review of iconic projects at the Secretariat.?

In the process, coordination between government departments is essential for the successful completion of the projects, he stressed. "So, complete the projects with appropriate planning and proper guidance," Stalin urged the officials.?

Earlier, posting photos of his meeting with US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti, on his Twitter page, the Chief Minister said "had a very pleasant introductory meeting with @USAmbIndia (Eric ?Garcetti), who is on his first official visit to Chennai. We discussed a wide range of topics."?

"I look forward to deepening the ties between India and the United States with Tamil Nadu playing an important role in it. In the course of our conversation, I have also solicited his support for the #GIM2024 in Chennai," Stalin further said.
