Uttarakhand: Passengers Jump Out Of Tilting Bus While Crossing River, No Injuries Reported

A bus with passengers got stuck while crossing a heavy-flow river in Ramgarh Village in Uttarakhand and the vehicle started tilting. The passengers jumped out of the bus to escape until the authorities reached the location to take the situation under control.

The passengers of a bus crossing a heavy-flowing river in the Ramgarh village, Uttarakhand, jump out of it as the vehicle starts to tilt from the strong flow of the river. No casualties have been reported from this incident.

A video of the passengers coming out of the tilting bus was captured and began circulating on social media. It was a Himachal Pradesh Roadways bus that got stuck near Vikasnagar on its way to reach Dehradun.?

The passengers in the bus climbed onto the roof and started throwing their belongings outside while people gathered around the location. Reportedly the authorities came in to rescue the passengers and get the bus out of the river. No injuries or casualties have been reported from there.

A red alert has been issued by the Uttarakhand authorities warning people of the rise in the water level of the major rivers along with a forecast of heavy showers for the next two days.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain in several districts of Uttarakhand for July 11 and 12. The districts are namely Chamoli, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital, and Udham Singh Nagar.

Lives lost in Uttarakhand landslides

Several landslides have occurred in Uttarakhand so far disrupting the normal life of the residents. Six lives were lost on Sunday due to landslides and incessant rainfall.

A jeep carrying 11 pilgrims from Kedarnath fell into the river Ganges in the Muni ki Reti area while five people have been rescued, three bodies have been found by the authorities and they are searching for the others.

In another tragic incident, two houses in the Kashipur area collapsed and a couple lost their lives while their granddaughter received injuries.

Meanwhile, in Uttarkashi's Barkot town, a policeman lost his life after being hit by a stone during a landslide On the Yamunotri National Highway.
