Celesti Bairagey became massively popular for being Alia Bhatt’s lookalike. She was last seen in the show ‘Rajjo’. She says that movies and shows on the LGBTQIA+ community have helped raise acceptance in the industry.
“Movies, OTT, and other forms of entertainment platforms have a wide range of audiences. The various same-sex-related movies have definitely contributed in understanding and accepting the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community,” she says.
She adds, “I have read and presented many presentations on the LGBTQIA+ community. I have also worked in a music video in Assam where I played a lesbian, the music video titled ‘Tumi Junak’ was released in Pride Month last year. I have also participated in the pride walk in Assam. I am willing and always ready to do anything that would contribute to the welfare of the LGBTQIA+ community. Also, the makeup industry in Assam has contributed a huge part in offering jobs to their community which is very overwhelming.”
