Kolkata Doctor Death LIVE Updates: Taking suo motu cognisance of the recent incident of an on-duty junior doctor's brutal rape and murder at Kolkata's RG Kar hospital, the Supreme Court is hearing the case. The top court on Tuesday constituted a National Task Force (NTF) that will send recommendations of the modalities to be followed across the country for the safety measures for senior and junior doctors to be followed. The NTF is also asked to submit an interim report within 3 weeks and a final report in 2 months from the date of this order.

As per Health Minister Samuel-Boger Kamba, the death toll due to the Mpox outbreak now stands at "A little more than 570 deaths". The number of total infections has also increased from 16,000 to 16,700.
