Ranbir Kapoor has been in showbiz for around 15 years and has been a favourite amongst the audience from the start. However, not many people know that during his growing up years, he had issues with his speech and was not too comfortable with it as he is now.?

In a recent virtual interaction with his fans, Ranbir revealed that as a child, he used to “stammer a lot.” Ranbir’s fan, who was stammering himself, asked Ranbir about his recent films. But after answering the question, the actor mentioned his experience with speech. “When I was little, even I used to stammer a lot. When someone would ask me my name, I would stammer at that also. It happens sometimes even now but you should just try and be very balanced, and try to meditate,” Ranbir said.?

He further said, “You should try and keep yourself as calm as possible and not think about this. Don’t ever feel embarrassed about it. Just speak your heart.”

Not just Ranbir, earlier Hrithik Roshan too had opened up about his stammering issue, and how he managed to overcome it. Hrithik had told Mumbai Mirror, “I’d practice every day to overcome the speech issue, I still do for an hour at least so that I can control the secondary actions like twitching and all. The unacceptability to stammering was not only bothersome in my childhood but prevailed till 2012, long after I had become a film star.”

Coming back to Ranbir, on the work front, he was last seen in ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ alongside Shraddha Kapoor. It was helmed by Luv Ranjan.
