- Onida: 29,000 sets
- Philips: 28,000 sets (Rivals claim that Philips dumped goods in the market because its financial year ends in December. Sold around 22,000 in November.)
- Panasonic: 7,000 sets
- Sony: 6,000 sets (averaged 7,000 in the preceding 2-3 months)
- Thomson: 3,000 sets
- Goldstar is in limbo after LG Electronics, the owner of the brand, broke off the four-year-long partnership with Bestavision Electronics.
- Samsung which has just launched and is still limited to northern India, sold about 1,500 sets.
