India is painted in the hues of multiple cultures and their zestful festivals. Navratri, marked by folk dance, vibrant music, and a joyous atmosphere, holds a special place. While the festival typically lasts for nine nights, the creators of Thangaat Garba, Parth Patel, and Ankit Upadhyaya have ingeniously managed to extend its infectious spirit throughout the entire year.

A brainchild of this talented duo, has now become a viral sensation! Through carefully crafted routines, Patel and Upadhyaya have managed to keep the Garba spirit pulsating in the hearts of enthusiasts throughout the year. They don't want to teach choreographies but rather nurture the love for this folk dance that people have.

Through a series of successful workshops and seminars, Thangaat Garba has proved that one doesn't need the festive days to twirl in their chaniyas and start barrels in kediyas. The dance form, deeply rooted in Gujarati folk traditions, has been reimagined by Patel and Upadhyaya, making it not only relevant but also appealing to a wider audience. By incorporating contemporary elements into the traditional dance, Thangaat Garba has managed to strike a perfect balance that's making both gujjus and non-gujjus go heads over heels for garba.

Speaking of their 365-day festive fever, Parth says, "Garba is among the most loved dance forms, and when it comes to Bollywood garba, none can match the true spirit of it. We thought, let's take Garba to millions in many ways, not just for nine days. We are keen on making sure that everyone gets a chance to dance and enjoy this culture."

One of the key elements contributing to Thangaat Garba's year-round appeal is its focus on collaboration, especially with celebrities. Patel and Upadhyaya have successfully brought stars from various industries to join the festivities, infusing glamour and excitement into the dance form.

Thangaat Garba was established in 2018 after almost ten years of experience in teaching garba on a small scale. Both the founders are winners at numerous garba events throughout Mumbai and have been teaching garba at schools, colleges, corporations, and their own classes across India. With 75+ regular & advanced garba batches and 15+ Bollywood garba workshops, Thangaat is reaching every dance freak. Ankit Upadhyaya was the assistant choreographer for Amit Trivedi's new Garba anthem for 2022 Dhol.

Parth Patel was recently an assistant choreographer for a music video that consists of one-hour non-stop Garba songs by Falguni Pathak with 30 Thangaat Garba team members as a part of the video. They have also worked with Sini Shetty, Sonal Devraj, Madhuri Dixit, Ruhee Dosani, Viraj Ghelani, and more. The team at Thangaat is currently gearing up for ITP 2024, and we wish them good luck with the same.
