Following the?no big prize winner in Tuesday night's billion-dollar drawing, the Mega Millions Jackpot has increased. The jackpot has increased to $1.25 billion after no one matched the winning numbers of Tuesday which came out to be 8, 24, 30, 45, 61, and Mega Ball 12. The prize would be the fourth-largest in Mega Millions history.
According to the New York Lottery, there have been 30 drawings since the last winner, Johnnie Taylor, 71, won $476 million in April, a New York state record. The lottery has grown despite the lack of a winner.

The $1.25 billion jackpot will be drawn at 11 p.m. on Friday. According to a Mega Millions news release, the winner may receive a lump sum of $625.3 million in cash or an annuity over 30 years.
According to the release, Georgia Lottery President and CEO Gretchen Corbin said, "There's always a sense of excitement in the country when Mega Millions jackpots soar."
