A gunman opened fire at a bus station in Beersheba, Israel, on Sunday, killing one woman and injuring 10 others, according to emergency services. The attacker was shot and killed by security forces.

The first responders have told the media that nine people were initially wounded in the terror attack on Sunday with one seriously injured.

A witness told N12 News that soldiers fired at the assailant, who was reported to be a member of the Bedouin minority in Israel's Negev desert. The incident occurred as security forces remained on high alert ahead of the anniversary of Hamas' October 7 attack on Israel.
Police have classified the shooting as a terrorist attack but have not yet disclosed the identity of the gunman.
