Israel Mass Shooting: Hamas Takes Responsibility For Terror Attack In Tel Aviv's Jaffa
Hamas has taken responsibility for the deadly terror attack in Jaffa on Tuesdya night. The mass shooting in the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv left seven people dead and another 16 injured.
As per a report by Times Of Israel, Hamas confirmed that the two terrorists who carried out the attack, Mohammad Mesek and Ahmed Himouni from Hebron, are members of the terror group.
Six of the seven victims have been named as Revital Bronstein, 24, Ilia Nozadze, 42, Shahar Goldman, 30, Inbar Segev Vigder, 33, Nadia Sokolenco, 40, and Jonas Chrosis, 26.
The shooting attack took place on Tuesday, just as Iran launched over 100 ballistic missiles towards Israel. Two Palestinian gunmen, who we know now were Hamas members, fired several shots in Jaffa in southern Tel Aviv, killing at least seven people.
Amid the attack, Israeli police responded to the shooting and "neutralised" the attackers. The next day, Israelis gathered at the train stop where the incident took place and organised a vigil for the victims of the mass shooting.
Eyewitnesses on the scene recalled the incident and stated that they were taken by surprise as the attackers did not seem suspicious.
Speaking to Channel 12, Diana Svertzov, an Israeli rhythmic gymnast who won a silver medal at the Paris Olympics, said that the attackers did not seem suspicious, and one of them was wearing a pin representing solidarity with Israelis held hostage in Gaza by the Hamas terror group.
“One of them looked at my Olympics necklace and smiled at me. They didn’t look like terrorists. One of them had an M16 rifle, and the other one was in a polo shirt, with a hostage pin. There was no reason to be suspicious. It never crossed my mind, what was about to happen,” she told reporters.
