After leaving a humongous trail of destruction in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh, cyclonic storm Michaung finally?weakened into a deep depression over Central Coastal Andhra Pradesh as it crossed the coast on Tuesday.

As per the data shared by Andhra Pradesh's?Chief Minister's Office (CMO), the cyclonic storm affected?nearly 40 lakh people from 194 villages and two towns, damaged 770-kilometre roads, uprooted 35 trees and killed three livestock while inundating?25 villages.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD)?today said that the Cyclonic Storm weakened into a Deep Depression lying centred at about 100 km north-northwest of Bapatla and 50 km southeast of Khammam.
Moreover?IMD also has a prediction?of the deep depression to weaken further into a depression in the next 6 hours and further into a Well Marked Low Pressure area during the subsequent 6 hours.
