In an unfortunate incident, one person was killed on spot on?Wednesday after he was hit by a speeding car on a busy Chennai street. It has been reported that the accident happened near Kilpauk, a semi-residential area in the city.

As per media reports, the accident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera in Chennai's Kilpauk area . The CCTV footage showed the man, identified as Palani, walking by the roadside, when he was hit by a car approaching towards him.

The car, driven by Jayakumar, only came to a halt after ramming into three other parked vehicles.
A case against the driver of the car was registered and he was arrested.
