Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath advocated for the re-employment of retired teachers to enhance the educational process and academic standards in secondary schools.

Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 219 principals, who had been selected by the UP Public Service Commission for the state-run secondary schools under Mission Rozgar. He?said, "Retired teachers should be re-employed till all appointments are done. A fixed honorarium should be given to them."

"During the previous government's tenure, secondary education colleges had become hotbeds of cheating. The cheating mafia took contracts to pass the children in the examination. However, significant improvements have been implemented in the last six years to address this issue," claimed the UP CM.

Further, Adityanath stated that principals are the backbone of educational institutions, he said,?"If principals remain disciplined and promote new activities and innovation in colleges, then meaningful outcomes will be achieved."

Yogi went on to mention that the high school and intermediate Board examinations conducted by the Secondary Education Council last year served as a national benchmark. The Council managed to conduct cheating-free exams for 56 lakh students in just 15 days and subsequently released the results within the same timeframe.

He stressed on the importance of principals in transforming schools into hubs of creative endeavours and fostering collaboration with parents. In addition to the curriculum, students should also be provided with knowledge about the nation, the world, and government programs aimed at the well-being of youth and women.

He explained that this approach not only imparts knowledge to the students but also heightens their awareness, thereby leaving a lasting impact during the principal's tenure.?

Yogi stated that over the past six years, the state government had effectively offered government employment to six hundred thousand young individuals, which included the hiring of 164,000 teachers through a just and transparent process.?
