Jindal led the competition for a brief while and was in contention for a medal throughout the final. After her heroics in Asian Games 2023, more will want to know about Ramita who hails from Ladwa District in Kurukshetra and belongs to the Jindal family. Right from studying in the 8th standard in school, Ramita's fondness grew towards Rifle shooting and she began her career at 13 years. Ramita's shooting journey began in 2016 when her father Arvind Jindal, a tax advisor, took her to the Karan Shooting Range in Kurukshetra.

That's where her practice took place and in her initial days, she would practice for 1-2 hours a day.?

However, after a year, she increased her practice in Rifle shooting. Her routine was - go to school in the morning and practice at the Rifle shooting school in the evening in Kurukshetra. Ramita's practice paid off as she landed 2nd and 3rd place positions in District and State level matches and eventually qualified for National Championships.

Her achievements include - 2 Gold medals at the World Championship, Cairo 2022 in the 10m Air Rifle Women & team event. A gold medal at the 2022 World Cup in Baku, in the team event and a silver at the World Cup 2022 in Changwon in the team event.
