Thanks to captain Rohit Sharma's dashing knock, India managed to post 205 runs on the board. Chasing a big target, Travis Head went berserk and smashed a 43-ball 76 to keep Australia in the game. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets whereas Kuldeep Yadav grabbed a brace of wickets in the middle. Australia will have to rely on the Afghanistan vs Bangladesh match results. Australia desperately need to win this match against India to stay alive in the race for the qualification of the semi-finals. Even if they manage to win, the match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh will clear the question of which two teams qualify for the next stage.

It was raining yesterday in St Lucia but the weather is very pleasant today. The players of both teams are out on the ground and doing their warm-ups. A few showers are expected in the later part of the match but the sky is clear as of now.

India's wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant and all-rounder Hardik Pandya are going to play a big role in today's match. For Australia, Mitchell Starc is expected to return to the playing XI. Pat Cummins, who has taken back-to-back hat-tricks in the last two matches, will be very crucial for Australia. These players from both teams will be key players to watch out for.

The dynamic batting pair of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are out in the middle to open the batting for India. Mitchell Starc started with the first over for Australia. He conceded just five runs including a beautiful boundary by Sharma. India off the mark.

Virat Kohli's bad form continued as he went back to the pavilion without disturbing the scorers. Josh Hazlewood was introduced in the second over and he got rid of Kohli and conceded just one run from the over.

Indian skipper took charge against Mitchell Starc when he came to bowl in the third over and smashed him for 29 runs. He started with a couple of sixes, then a four, followed by another six. The fifth delivery was missed and the next one was a wide. Sharma deposited the next ball into the crowd as well and finished the over with 29 runs.

The rain has interrupted the match. Rohit Sharma was looking in fine form. He smashed a 100-metre six on the first delivery of Pat Cummins, who came to bowl the fifth over. Just after the new ball reached the ground, the rain came.

With a humongous six on the first delivery of Pat Cummins' over, Rohit Sharma completed his 200 sixes in the T20Is. He is the first person to do so.

Rohit Sharma took no time to complete his half-century just as the match resumed after rain. He hit two more boundaries off Pat Cummins and took a single on the last delivery to complete the fastest fifty of the ongoing tournament.

Rishabh Pant lost his wicket to Marcus Stoinis, who was hit for a couple of sixes and a four by Rohit Sharma. But he managed to get the wicket of Pant on the last delivery of his first over. India lost their second wicket.

Mitch Marsh has been dropped twice now. First, Rishabh Pant failed to reach to the ball off Jasprit Bumrah's bouncer. Then Arshdeep Singh dropped him while trying to catch in the follow-through.

Spin has been introduced. Indian bowlers were leaking runs but Kuldeep Yadav conceded just four runs in his first over. India desperately need a wicket now.

Axar Patel took a one-handed catch at the boundary rope to dismiss the set batter, Mitch Marsh. He smashed the ball but couldn't get the elevation and it was going flat over Patel's head when he jumped and took a right-handed catch to send the Australian captain back to the pavilion.

Travis Head completed his half-century by hitting three boundaries in Hardik Pandya's over. Glenn Maxwell has also shifted gears and is looking dangerous. India are in search of wickets.

Kuldeep Yadav got rid of Glenn Maxwell. He bowled him on the very first delivery of his last over. Axar Patel created pressure by just conceding three runs in the last over and Kuldeep got the results.

That's what I have to do (in the powerplay), try and see what the bowlers are doing, play accordingly. They changed their plans and tried to bowl against the breeze. Needed to be smart, was just backing myself to do. You got to understand that bowlers are smart, they are not going to bowl into the breeze. I was thinking to hit everything that was possible. You can access all sides of the field, that is what I was trying to do. It has been a good wicket and you need to back yourself on good wickets, glad that it came off today. I told you that 50s and 100s don't matter to me. Need to put the bowlers under pressure, and you need big scores for that. I tried to access all sides of the field, not just one side.

Disappointing. It happens in the game of cricket. In the course of 40 overs, there are a lot of small margins. India were the better team, Rohit is a class player. (On Head and Maxwell's batting) Gave us more belief than hope. In a run chase like that if you keep it at 10 an over, we are in the game. India's bowlers were too good though in the end. Come on, Bangladesh now!

Satisfying. We know the opposition and the threat they bring. As a team we did well, kept doing the things we needed to do. Gives us good confidence as a team. 200 is a good score but when you are playing here with wind being a big factor, anything can happen. But I think we used to conditions really well, and it was about individuals doing their job. If was about getting wickets at the right time. (On Kuldeep) We know the strength he has, but we need to use him when necessary. In New York, there were seamer friendly wickets. He had to miss out but we knew he had a big role to play out here. (On semi-final) We don't want to do anything different, play the same way and understand what each person has to do. Play freely and not think too much on what's lying ahead. Not think about the opposition. We have been doing it consistently, just need to continue. (On playing England in semi) It will be a nice match, nothing changes for us as a team.
