IND Vs BAN, 2nd Test Day 4 Highlights: Ravichandran Ashwin Takes Two Wickets As Bangladesh Trail By 26 Runs In Second Innings

The second India vs Bangladesh Test is being live telecast on the Sports 18 and Colors Cineplex TV channels in India. It is being live-streamed on the Jio Cinema app and website in India.

Only 35 overs have been bowled in three days in the second Test match between India and Bangladesh. The last two days have been completely abandoned. Fans eagerly await the action on Day 4. HERE is what the weather forecast for today looks like.

The sun is out and the covers are off. The players of both teams are doing their practice drills and play is set to resume in Kanpur's Green Park on time. The biggest update is that the action for the fourth day will start at 9:30 am IST.

The ground is ready for the action of Day 4 after a break of two days. 98 overs are to be bowled on the fourth day.

Revised Playing Conditions

First session: 09:30 am - 11:45 am

Second session: 12:25 pm - 02:40 pm

Third session - 03:00 pm - 05:00 pm

After being under the covers for more than two days, there is a little dampness on the pitch. But it is still a good wicket to bat on. The outfield remains a concern but the ground conditions are expected to improve.

98 overs are to be bowled on Day 4 and the same will be tried on Day 5 if conditions allowed. So, around 190 overs are still left in the match and we can hope for a result in Kanpur.

Day 4 action started on time with Indian seamer Akash Deep opening the attack. He started with a maiden over. Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the next over and he didn't give any run. Bangladesh batters Mushfiqur Rahim and Mominul Haque are out in the middle.

Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah opened the bowling attack for India and both are trying their best to strike early on Day 4 but Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim are experienced batters and the Bangla duo are not taking any risks while batting. Only one run has been made in the play of five overs and no Bangla batter looked in a hurry to score.

Bumrah came to bowl his third over of the day and Rahim got a boundary on the first delivery after an inside edge. Bumrah kept the length same and dismantled his off-stump on the next delivery. Litton Das is the new batter at the crease.

Mohammed Siraj was introduced into the attack in place of Akash Deep. Jasprit Bumrah kept building the pressure and Siraj got the wicket on the first delivery of his spell on Day 4. But Mominul took a review immediately and the ball seemed to miss the bat and glove. Mominul completed his half-century with a boundary in the same over.

Mohammed Siraj came to bowl the 50th over of the inning and he dismissed Litton Das on the fourth delivery thanks to a brilliant catch by the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. He took a one-handed blinder at mid-off to send Litton Das back to the pavilion. Shakib Al Hasan is the new batter at the crease.

Mohammed Siraj took a sensational catch to send Shakib Al Hasan back to the pavilion. Ravichandran Ashwin knew Shakib was going to an aerial shot against him and he allowed him to play in the air. But the ball was not in the arc of Shakib hence he misjudged that shot. Siraj was not at the right place to complete the catch but he managed with one hand somehow.

Mominul Haque is the only batter of the Bangladesh team who is continuously finding gaps and making runs. The visitors are six wickets down and Mehidy Hasan Miraz is a capable batter. Both are looking good at the crease but Indian bowlers will try to get one more wicket before the lunch break.

Mominul Haque completed his century with a boundary on Ashwin's delivery in the 66th over. This is his second away Test ton. He became only the second visiting batter to score a century in Kanpur in 10 Tests played here.

Lunch break in Kanpur as the first session saw 31 overs and Bangladesh batters managed to score 98 runs and lost three wickets. Mominul Haque completed his 13th Test century and Mehidy Hasan Miraz is accompanying him at the crease.

Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah opened the attack after the lunch break and Mominul Haque along with Mehidy Hasan Miraz looked comfortable and keen to score some big runs.

Jasprit Bumrah was welcomed with back-to-back boundaries by Mehidy Hasan Miraz but he kept his length hard and bowled a dot delivery. Then he managed to get an edge and Shubman Gill made no mistake. Bumrah gave a send-off as well. Bangladesh seven wickets down.

Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the next over after taking the wicket of Miraz and dismissed Taijul Islam on the first delivery. He bowled the tailender and completed his third wicket in the match.

Mohammed Siraj also joined the party with an LBW wicket of Hasan Mahmud in the next over. Mahmud wasted a review as well. The ball was hitting the middle stump. Mominul Haque is still batting and only one wicket is left for Bangladesh.

Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Khaled Ahmed to restrict Bangladesh to 233 runs in the first innings. Mominul Haque remains unbeaten on 107 runs. Jadeja also completed his 300 Test wickets. He is the second-fastest Indian bowler and overall seventh Indian bowler to reach 300 Test wickets.

Bangladesh opened the bowling attack with Hasan Mahmud and Indian openers Rohit Sharma along Yashasvi Jaiswal came to open the innings. Jaiswal hit a hat-trick of boundaries in the first over to give a flying start.

India have just recorded the fastest 50 in Test cricket. Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal have gone berserk and smashed every second delivery. The duo collected 17 runs from Khaled Ahmed's over then 22 runs from Hasan Mahmud's second over.

Rohit Sharma failed to continue his dashing batting style when Mehidy Hasan Miraz bowled him in the fourth over. He departed with three sixes and one four in his 23-run knock off just 11 balls. Shubman Gill is the new batter at the crease.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his way of batting even after the dismissal of the Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Shubman Gill is playing run-a-ball and he is playing with a strike rate of nearly 200. He completed his half-century in 31 balls and became the joint third-fastest to reach 50 runs for India in Test cricket. It is the fastest half-century against Bangladesh.

Yashasvi Jaiswal lost his wicket to Hasan Mahmud who came to bowl the 15th over. It was a good-length ball that stayed low and Jaiswal was bamboozled. Rishabh Pant has joined Shubman Gill at the crease. Virat Kohli will come later.

India were 138/2 after 16 overs when the Umpires called for Tea on Day 4 of the second Test match in Kanpur's Green Park. It has been a happening session.
