Hardik Pandya All Set To Lead Mumbai Indians In Indian Premier League 2024, Shares Video Footage - Watch
Hardik Pandya has begun bowling full tilt after rehabilitation from his ankle injury, clearly indicating that he is on course for the Indian Premier League where he will captain Mumbai Indians
The newly appointed Mumbai Indians captain missed the home T20 International series against Afghanistan earlier this month. It looks like the all-rounder's rehabilitation is complete!
The development indicates that the 30-year-old is ready for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. Pandya was named Mumbai Indians captain in place of highly successful Rohit Sharma on December 15 following a high-profile trade from Gujarat Titans.
In the video, Pandya can be heard talking about his memories of the ground, which he called his first ground, apparently the Moti Bagh Stadium in Vadodara, Gujarat.
"Good to be back to my... a place for, what do you call it, improvement. I treat this as a temple because of the amount of learning I have got on this ground. What it has taught me has been priceless. My journey started, if I am not wrong, literally 17 years back on this same very ground. Feels good to be back," Pandya said.
According to reports, IPL 2024 is set to begin on March 23, 2024.
"I'll make sure I cover every single thing possible today and every day," he added.
His India teammates, meanwhile, are taking on visiting England. The first of the five Test matches is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. At close of play on Day 3, England were 316/6 in their second innings, and have taken a lead of 126 runs.
