On Monday, BCCI announced the squads for the first 2 ODIs against Australia. KL Rahul will deputise in the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma. Virat Kohli will also miss the first two ODIs. Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is back in the ODI fold alongside Washington Sundar.
