The Indian women's badminton team is currently on court for its second Uber Cup 2024 tie, against Singapore. 2. Chelsea Women lost to Barcelona 0-2 in the second leg of their UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final. Barcelona go through to the final with a 2-1 aggregate.

3. Atletico Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao 3-1 in La Liga,  moving a step closer to a top-four finish.

4. Paris Saint-Germain were held to a 3-3 draw at home to relegation-battling Le Havre in Ligue 1 and will need to wait before confirming their 12th title in the French football league. PSG would have clinched the title with three games to spare with a victory. 

The Indian men's recurve archery team has pulled off an incredible triumph in Shanghai. Dhiraj Bommadevara, Tarundeep Rai and Pravin Jadhav have upset reigning Olympic champions South Korea to win the gold medal at the ongoing World Cup Stage 1. India wins 5-1 (57-57, 57-55, 55-53), taking its gold medal count to five in the season-opening global showpiece.

Grace Kim has stumbled to a 5-over 76 in the LPGA Tour's JM Eagle LA Championship, still holding onto a share of the lead at Wilshire Country Club. She is tied with fellow Australian Hannah Green, the defending champion, who has saved par with a 12-footer on the par-3 18th for a 70. They are at 7-under 206.

Basketball titan LeBron James scores 30 points and Anthony Davis adds 25 and 23 rebounds, as the Los Angeles Lakers avoid a sweep with a 119-108 victory over the Denver Nuggets in their Western Conference first-round series.

West Indies 'A' have won the toss and elected to bat first against Nepal in the 2nd T20 at Kirtipur. Nepal lead the five-match series 1-0 with a four-wicket win in the opening game on Saturday.

Nepal have picked up two wickets inside the first three overs of the second T20 against West Indies 'A'. Sagar Dhakal has claimed both scalps, namely Johnson Charles and Alick Athanaze. The Windies team is batting at 18 runs for the loss of two wickets after 3 overs.

In around a couple of hours from now, Gujarat Titans will host Royal Challengers Bengaluru in match 45 of the Indian Premier League 2024. It is a crucial encounter for both the teams, who are languishing in the bottom four of the IPL points table.

National men's singles squash champion Velavan Senthilkumar has dismissed Hong Kong’s Andes Ling to enter the final of the Batch Open tournament in Paris. Senthilkumar, who is ranked 58 in the world, has won his semi-final match 11-2, 11-1, 11-6 in 22 minutes. The Indian will face Frenchman Melvil Scianimanico for the title.

Nepal have limited West Indies 'A' to an eminently gettable target of 161 runs in the second T20 at Kirtipur. In response, the hosts are batting at 21/1 after 4.1 overs, with captain Rohit Paudel and wicket-keeper Anil Sah at the crease.

Defender Ryan Edwards has extended his contract with Chennaiyin FC and he will remain with the Indian Super League club until 2025. Edwards was the CFC captain for the 2023-24 season and made 25 appearances in all competitions, along with two goals and one assist.

"The appointment of (Gary) Kirsten and (Jason) Gillispie who are high-profile coaches shows how much value is given to the Pakistan cricket team and how much potential foreign coaches see in our players," PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi said at a press conference.

"We want to give the team the best facilities and that is why we have gone for Kirsten and Gillispie," he added.

Nepal's pursuit of a 161-run target falls short. The home team ends up with 151 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Captain Rohit Paudel made a valiant unbeaten 71 off 48 balls (6x4, 2x6), but did not get any support from the other end as Nepal kept losing wickets.

The 10-run loss means the series is now level at 1-1, which sets things up nicely for the remainder of the five-match tour.

At least two players suffered serious injuries in a road accident involving some national women's team members earlier this month after they breached curfew and went out of the camp called for the ongoing white-ball home series against the West Indies, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Sunday, according to PTI reports.

The PCB has taken disciplinary action against the players, its chairman Mohsin Naqvi told reporters in Lahore.

The All India Chess Federation (AICF) is exploring all options before taking a call on bidding for the FIDE World Championship match between India's D Gukesh and Ding Liren.
