Seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic overcame a stern challenge from Polish player?Hubert Hurkacz to win his 32nd consecutive match at the All England Club on Monday.

Resuming their match after it was suspended on Sunday, Djokovic reached his 14th Wimbledon quarter-final?with a 7-6 (6), 7-6 (6), 5-7, 6-4 win over Hurkacz.

In the first set on Sunday, the Serbian saved three set points and later was two points away from conceding the second set. Play was then suspended.

Hurkacz managed to win the third set using strong serves.

“Honestly, I don't recall the last time I felt this miserable in returning games ... due to his incredibly accurate and powerful serve,” Djokovic said on the court. “He's got one of the best serves in the world and it's so difficult to read it.”

This was Djokovic's 56th Grand Slam?quarter-final entry, only second to Roger Federer's 58. He will take on Andrey Rublev next for a place in the semi-final.
